These bags have been fun to make and collecting compliments. Please see my YouTube video for the easy process.
This is the first time I tried stringing Royal Icing. It was fun once I got into it. I used a Masters bag with a small slit cut in the bottom. At the right consistency the icing strings from one place to another. Dots are easy to make too.
With the new year in view, I was looking around at planners and was amazed at all the options out there for binding and creative ideas. I painted a flower motif using pretty dishes from my Dresden collection as inspiration.
This is a small journal with about 20 lined pages. I mounted the painting on scrapbook paper and backed it with another page. The cover is a cut to size report cover. For the binding, I made jump rings out of 16 gauge wire that I use for jewelry making.
When my daughter was a baby, I knitted her a matinee jacket much like this one I just knitted for her friend. The pattern is a Robin Bambino, and I used Baby Summer cotton yarn by Ice Yarns. If you haven’t been to their site, check it out. The prices are fabulous and you can order there on the site or through their Amazon store. The shipping cost was very reasonable; I have only paid $9-15, and the packages arrive in just a couple of days.
